KFAN  Texas Rebel Radio

Texas Country, Rockn, Blues

Hidden away in the in the quiet hills of Texas is the birthplace of Country, Texas, Rockn’ Blues – Texas Rebel Radio. It is radio that never existed before its creation. Radio that broke all the rules. Radio untamed and uninfluenced by all the corporations. It is a radio format that duplicated the way people listen to their own music.

Radio with choice, for the listeners, the deejays, the musicians, the singer / songwriters, the advertisers, and for us. Radio with no charts to rule it. Creating its own charts, first Americana then Triple A. No one, no other radio station, no other program director, no other company, no chart, no other person could really duplicate what has been created here at Texas Rebel Radio Network. It is in the heart mind and soul of true Texans.

UP COMING INTERVIEWS

Tony Stevens

Friday April 12th at 5pm Central

We are incredibly excited and honored to announce that on Friday April 12th at 5pm central, we will be doing a live interview with the bassist and founding member of Foghat and Savoy Brown, Mr. Tony “Tone” Stevens!

English musician Tony Stevens joined Savoy Brown in 1968, and contributed to four of that band’s albums over the next two years as bassist and songwriter. Tony would go on to form Foghat in January 1971 with Savoy Brown bandmates Roger Earl, Dave Peverett and adding guitarist Rod Price to round out the lineup.

Foghat went on to huge success. They achieved eight gold albums, one platinum and one double platinum album, and despite several line-up changes, continue to record and perform.

Foghat “Slow Ride – Live In Concert” gives us undistilled look at Foghat live performances across the Lone Star State back in 1999, just before Dave Peverett’s tragic passing the next year.
