| As the Sultans of Stealth we play incorrect music that even our NM homie Don Imus refused to play. We figured that since we're political, controversial and a bunch of funny boys and girls who can play, you might wanna check us out. Our website is www.groomlakemusic.com You can download MP3 format free at www.mp3.com/groomlake and if you have issues with those folks, we'll be happy to send you a CD of our music. We do reggay, western swing, 60s R&B and sing about stuff like child labor, witness protection, guns and drugs, dead race car drivers, pols & PACs, and lots more. We hope you check us out and consider some of our stuff for your playlists. Let us know if you have any questions. We'll keep you posted if we see any black helicopters moving from Area 51 toward the Lone Star State.

| My wife and I recently spent a weekend in Fredericksberg and had a wonderful time. The bed and breakfast we stayed in had no TV and only one radio station..yours! It was great. I have never spent 3 days away from TV altogether, I'm suprised that I did not have DT's or worse. Your station was different and refreshing, like nothing I had ever heard before. I called it "Texas radio with an attitude". To me at least that's what it represented. The music just seemed to be such a reflection of Texas and just exactly what you would expect to hear in the heart of Texas. I'm really surprised that nobody here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area has not done something like this already. I try to listen when I'm at my pc, but streaming audio still leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I really enjoy your music. Hope you never change a thing. |

Try to locate the article on www.ft.com The FT is a UK publication but it's now published in the US so you may even be able to buy a copy in a major town or city. I especially like the songs by Leftover Salmon that no

frequently, but I don't know the title, and I'd like to

I love the Texas music you play. I'm originally from

I first listened to "the Fan" when I was moving back to Houston
from El Paso...it is a really cool station. In the hour and a half that I listened,
I heard such great music, so y'all expanded my musical horizons!
I can't wait to get a computer again so I can listen on the web!
Thanks,

It is refreshing to hear music with a message. Most artists today offer a pretty superficial content with very little muscianship.KFAN opens the door the music that will move you inside and out.

| Howdy! I moved from Plano, TX to New Hampshire 2 1/5 years ago (long, sad story), and didn't realize how much I would miss Texas music. Major withdrawal! Having graduated from SWT in San Marcos and seeing the likes of Jerry Jeff, Joe Ely and Omar and Howlers at Gruene Hall, people up here just don't understand. All you hear is 'intellectual' music, it has no soul. BORING!!! Susan Tedeschi kicks butt, she sounds like she's from Texas! I found you guys about a year ago, and listen all day at work. Other than a pay check, it's the only reason I keep coming to work.

| I visit family in the Texas hill country every chance I get,
and I always look forward to listening to KFAN on the radio while
I'm there. I listen on-line at home, but yours is the only station
on my radio when I'm in Texas. I appreciate a lot of different
styles of music, but any list of my favorite musicians, singers/
songwriters, or bands would definitely be dominated by Texans.
It's a shame, but a lot of the really fine music you play just
doesn't get airplay anywhere else.
I hope that someone there at the radio station can help me out with
something. I would appreciate any information you can give me on
Hundred Year Flood. I really like a song of theirs that I've heard
on KFAN. Is that just a demo that I'm hearing? I've searched
record stores, and all over the internet to no avail. If there is
a Hundred Year Flood recording available I sure would like to know
where I can buy one.
Thanks, and keep up the great work.

One of the lyrics: "Don't have no fear of drinkin' beer if you're sharin' with the son of God."

| Love your sound and the "different" music. It is different from what we are force fed here in the frozen north. Our temperature today is only a couple degrees cooler than yours. I had a Buick with the holes in the side and "Momma" did love to ride. (1950 Super, my first car) I will be a steady listener - you have converted me. Very refreshing!!! |

| It's quite amusing for me to sign the guest book of another radio station. I was born and raised in Austin. I've my share of great music, but now that I'm in West Texas and have been for a while, there's been a void. I'm glad that I get to do, if only for a few hours on the weekend, what you do all day. And, I'm proud to say that I'm a fan of the fan.

| Having lived in San Antonio, I fell in love with Texas Rebel Radio. But, alas, I had to move to Omaha, NE, where the "Texas state of mind" is pretty well non-existant! Over Christmas I returned "home" to visit and got rehooked on your station! Withdrawal was pretty severe when I returned to Omaha!!! So I looked up your website, just to do some reminiscing, and I discovered that I can be listening to you on my computer!!!! Hurray!!!
So now here I am at work, with Texas Rebel Radio on and a smile on my face. My boss has told me that he's not letting me off early to go drink a Shiner, though! HA!
Seriously, the folks around me at work are all very curious about what I'm listening to, and I think some of them are becoming fans, too!

| Hey I like what you guys are doing on your online radio site. I was curious if you knew about a band called Payable on Death or P.O.D. They have a new album out on Atlantic called Fundamental Elements of Southtown, and they rock a lot like Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Deftones, Incubus, and other loud rock bands. Their aggressive songs like their first single Outkast and other songs like Southtown and now they have a new song Whatever It Takes on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack that all really rock and you guys should check them out. Let me know if you guys know of them and if you have been playing them. Id love to hear your responses. You can e-mail me at rubleytuesday@yahoo.com, and I really enjoy what you guys are doing and keep up the great rock music. Thanks for your time and rock on!

| Great,
It's nice to hear real music versus the cityfied music we are forced to listen to everyday. Nashville should take a page from your book, and work with true artists, versus the "all hat, no cattle, silk shirt buttoned to the top wearin'" pretty boys on American radio today. Keep it up. You know, come to think of it, screw Nashville, let's keep the secret of KFAN to ourselves. God Bless. |

| I'm a college student with a computer in my room, so you can imagine where I spend a good deal of my free time. I first discovered Texas Rebel Radio last January. Since my grandma grew up in the Hill Country and has always wanted to get back, I was thrilled when I discovered a Fredericksburg radio station online. I decided to give it a try, and I've been very impressed! What a unique idea! And what wonderful music! When I make it back to the Hill Country for our next family reunion, I'll be sure to tune in the car! Keep up the good work! |

| I stumbled across Texas Rebel Radio on my rent a car radio during a Saturday afternoon drive through the hill country in May.
It was my first visit to Texas and I expected cactus, desert, red necks and the holier than thou crowd. What I found was friendly people, good food, great music and the beautiful hill country. I also found some great BBQ at the salt lick.
I'm back home in Olympia, WA now and I'm a regular listener via the internet. Thanks for some great tunes and a welcome relief from the "baby-boomer's top 40 FM fare offered locally. |

WOW! I just love your station.I was in Fredricksburg covering the Rabies Vaccination Program for the Texas National Guard (I'm a military journalist)and had heard of your station before. I guess the one artist I was most surprised to hear was John Prine. I never hear him on the radio. And when you play country, man is it country. I too have a Nashville Rash, with all these new country 'stars'screwing up what Cash, Haggard and Jones had built. Keep it up. Oh yeah, I didn't hear Lucinda Williams. Could you pleeeze play her? | This past weekend I was on my way from Austin to Enchanted Rock when I caught your station. While I was scanning looking for anything at all to listen to my radio finally stopped on 107.9. I can't tell you guys how excited me and some friends were. With in one hour I had heard music from Son Volt, Billy Bragg and Wilco, and a guy I know by the name of Charlie Robison. I even heard his brother Bruce, also some of my favorite old Texas Cowboys. I grew up in this great state of ours and it is nice to finally here someone play good country music without all of the commercal garbage that most of the local staions consentrate on. Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is that y'all are whats missing from Austin radio. I sure hope that one day I want have to get online to listen to y'all. Although traveling out to the hill country is not so bad I hope y'all can make it to Austin. Keep up the good work. |

| ****AUGUST 25th...1998...493 days till the Millenium****
Greetings earthlings...as you look into the sky tonite
think of every star as a road sign directing you to
Texas, home of the Texas Rebel Radio Network, committed
to bringing you a whole new generation of radio. Welcome
to our new friends; Bill in Australia and Luis in Brazil.
Debbie,Todd & Neil--where are ya'll from? it was quite
a wet weekend in South Texas last weekend, the valley
is still hampered with rains making the flooding there
even worse as the Carolinas brace for Bonnie...did some
body say El Nino?...This Thursday marks a sad day in the
History of Texas Music, do you know why?...On a brighter
note, lately you've been hearing a great new CD from
Storyville, on the Fan, called "Dog Years"...the cover
of the new album proudly displays the members of the
band: Malford Milligan, David Grissom, David Holt, Chris
Layton and Tommy Shannon--a solid reminder that Storyville
is a band of seasoned veterans,,,just check your own
collection and you'll find these names scattered amoung
the players on some of your favorite albums...As the
band embarks on a tour with BB King, one wonders, who
is Storyville?...Frontman Malford Milligan is somewhat
of a mystery as he is pretty private about his past,
though he has worked with the likes of Craig Ross and
Stephen Bruten, rather he lets his silky smooth voice
and larger than life stage presence do his talkin...
Then there is the dynamic duo rythym section of drummer
Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon, known to real Texas Music
fans as Double Trouble, I don't have to explain,do I?...
Gutarist David Holt, from Lubbock,Texas, spread his
Hendrix/ZZTop/Johnny Winter inspired talent around with
stints in some of Texas' best-Joe Ely,Jesse Taylor,Rosie
Flores and Jimmie Dale Gilmore to name a few, he even
did some time with Nick Lowe...Finally, David Grissom's
magic fingers performed their excellence with a virtual
potpouri of Artists heard regularly on the Fan playlist
including; Lucinda Williams,Rod Stewert,Lou Ann BArton,
Joe Ely AND, with Joe's encouagement he even became an
important member of John Mellencamp's band...Storyville
certainly is a band of impeccable professionals...It's
not hard to understand why Storyville is destined for
fame, not to mention a Fan Favorite... you'll find
Storyville's "Dog Years" in heavy rotation as a "current"
release on the TRRN Playlist...on August 26th,1990,
Stevie Ray Vaughn was taken from us in a tragic accident.
The world lost the GREATEST GUTARIST (arguably) EVER.
Our prayers & memories go out to Jimmie, the famliy,
his friends, fellow musicians and fans>>>We Luv Ya SRV!
PEACE

| Greetings FANsters...it's a beautiful Sunday Morning on
this 16th day of August, just 502 days from the new
Millenium. At about 78degrees in the Texas Hill Country
we are finding it quite a pleasant morning with; fresh
Texas air, cinnamon/hazel nut coffee from the Palace
Coffee Cafe and Jazz Tracs on the Fan. House..PULEEZE
don't give up my secrets! Speaking of Chris...his new
album "Welcome to Bluzhill Texas" is topping the charts
in Europe so look for a Europeon Tour possibly in the
early fall. Heather...hows your Real Audio doing, are
you catching the breeze of the Fan yet? Kathy from
Chicago called during my show yesterday...we'll get you
that limited edition KFAN T-shirt real soon. One of
the Fan's Favorites, our old friend Geronimo Trevino is
staying preety buzaby of late...He's putting together a
Tribute Album to his late father and will be road
tripping to Houston next Sunday (8/23) to be on a 30
year Soundmasters reunion show at The Texas Saloon with
Mark Chestnut & Clay Walker, to mention a few, who've
recorded at Soundmaster's Studio over the years...Break
A Leg Geronimo. I've got a free CD for the first Fanster
to e-mail me with the name of Willie Nelson's first #1
hit(my choice on the CD). There will be a Songwriters
Guild meeting the 2nd Saturday of each month at the
Wimberley's Stage Stop Ranch (note to Fan Staffers...
sounds like Fan Club material) call 782-4378 for info.
Great job on the Blanco County Fair reports Dawn but
try to stay away from 11year old cowboys from the Hill
Country, they can be heartbreakers. Rich & Mike from
Chicago have found that the"fickely fine focally flexing
fixative foice, err voice, of Phoebe on the Fan, to be
verry soothing...tune into Phoebe monday thru friday at
3pm Planet Texas Time on the Texas Rebel Radio Network,
The Fan...PROPS & CONGRATS to Jay & The Texas Lady for
25 years, 3 FANtastic radio staions, 2 super kids, AND
one mighty fine Mercedes Benz. Watch for some scoop on
Storyville and keep it tuned to TRRN....later ya'll
PEACE

| Greetings earthlings..from Planet Texas...home of the
Texas Music rebellion. Our motto is to bring a little
Texas Music into each of the dwellings on your planet
via TRRN (Texas Rebel Radio Network) affectionately
known as the Fan. Jodyp57, got your e-mail, thanks and
you'll hear the magic soon my friend. Heather, if your
Real Audio is in a file, try going to File Manager-click
on type KEEP/KFAN FM in the search box, then see what
happens, if it still doesn't work, email me and we'll
see what we can do to help you. Checking in with our
time warp chamber, we are abel to see future happenings,
it's tough on the warp drive but thats okay...cause we
have plenty of warp to spare, after all there's always
Commander Rose's mind (one big warp)...anyway we see that
Charlie Daniels is making "Texas" the first single from
his new CD-"Fiddle Fire", a collection of 25 years of
music by the Charlie Daniels Band. He's joined on the
project by REAL Texas (and Gillespie County resident)
Lee Roy Parnell and Texan transplant Ray Benson. The
Blue Hat Records cd will be released August 18th. Other
great songs on the cd are; The Devil Went Down To Georgia
and Talk to me fiddle, just to name a few. It's a great
collection. Paula Nelson's new CD "Coming Home" on Luck
Records is out now and it features, amoung others, sis
Amy, Aunt Bobbie and Dad as guest artists and you can
hear it now on the Fan. Heres a tip for all that listen
to TRRN...J D Rose is giving a lot of stuff away mornings
from 6Am till 11Am, so take him with you to work. Well
time to beam on outta here, but I leave you with this...
If at first you don't succeed, blow it off, pop the top
of a could one and chill out with the Fan...you can
always try tomorrow.
PEACE
