Now on to a disc I should have highlighted months ago and this guy is one of us, that’s right, he calls the Texas Hill Country his home. The new release from Jay Boy Adams of Comfort, Texas. Shoe Box is truly an effort straight from the Heart of a true Americana artist. I have said on numerous occasions this record could possible be the best of this years entries to our genre. Songs about, just everyday life around these parts, maybe, that we are guilty of taking for granite, Jay Boy Adams doesn’t take it for granite and you can put a frame around this disc and just say “That’s a picture of life in the Hill Country. With tunes like Life in a small town and Shoebox let’s not forget where it is we come from. Thanks Jay Boy. And yes this one is available for purchase as we speak…..
